MR. THURSDAY NIGHT
Our favorite day of the week is once again upon us however we first would like to apologize to everyone for the effort given by the Cal Bears last night. Truly an embarassing performance. Tonight however we've got one to make it up for you as we look to enhance our stunning 78-55-4 record on the season.

Sorry for the late add here but we see value we can not refuse in the Cal Bears tonight. Texas and their four headed monster at quarterback will continue to sputter on offense while their defense will have no answer for Cal super stud WR Keenan Allen.

MONDAY FOOTBALL
A 0-3 Saturday certainly stings but today is a new day and we've got a pair of sure fire winners to get us back on track. Atlanta has nothing to play for as they have now clinched a playoff birth (after the Chicago loss) while the Saints continue to battle for a first round bye. The college bowl slate resumes after a day off as Missouri and North Carolina battle in the Independence Bowl.

Merry Christmas to all our fellow degenerates out there! As a token of our appreciation, we've got some NFL locks you can use as some lsat minute stocking stuffers! HCP&P's is now 76-51-4 on the season including a spectacular 26-10-1 on the NFL. While we won't be wagering on it, clearly the biggest game of the day is in Detroit where the Lions look to clinch a playoff spot for the first time in 12 years when they face the biggest d-bag in the league, Phillip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers. Chaos N. Suh will be primed and ready to alert the Chargers QB to "lay your head down Phillip, I'm not your boogey man!"

MR. THURSDAY NIGHT
The rotten Thursday Night NFL slate rolls on tonight as Atlanta hosts Jacksonville. While us Lions fans will be rooting on the Jags, I don't see them having a realistic chance of hanging around in this one. It should be a busy weekend here as the college bowls kickoff on Saturday along with a NFL game. Stay tuned for more winners!

THE KING IS CROWNED
In a game which lived up to all the pregame hype, the top seeded LSU Tigers (Adam) defeated the fiesty Boise State Broncos (Dan), 20-13 to claim the Lindgren Cup 4 Championship. LSU looked strong from the start, settling for a 3-0 lead after an impressive goalline stand by the Broncos. Midway through the second quarter, LSU struck on a 55 yard touchdown pass from Jordan Jefferson to Rueben Randall to extend their lead to 10 points. At the end of the first half, once again inside the 5 yard line, the Tigers hit the upright on a chipshot field goal and the score remained 10-0 as Limestone Kush took the field for the halftime show.
Boise took the ball first in the second and wasted no time getting on the board, knocking home a 37 yard field goal to cut the deficit to 10-3. After a Jefferson interception, Boise added another field goal to inch closer, 10-6. Midway through the 4th quarter LSU put together an impressive march which once again stalled inside the Boise 10 yard line, leading to another field goal and a 13-6 lead. Kellen Moore then went to work with his season and career on the line, leading Boise State down the field for a tying touchdown with 1:30 left. Many LSU fans feared Petersen would roll the dice and go for two but he opted to tie the game at 13. With 1:30 left and full compliment of timeouts, LSU started their drive from the Boise 15 after a questionable holding penalty and pounded the ball on the ground with 4 carries getting the Tigers to midfield. While still in hurry-up mode, Jefferson threw yet another impressive deep ball, connecting with Russell Shepherd on a 49 yard touchdown strike to regain the lead 20-13 with 35 seconds left. Boise took over deep in their own territory and their championship hopes quickly faded as Moore was picked off and LSU took over. After two running plays, game MVP Jordan Jefferson took a knee and LSU was crowned the champions of the greatest Lindgren Cup compeitition of the 21st Century.

BEATDOWN IN BOISE
Chris Petersen had his Broncos ready to go in semifinal 2 of Lindgren Cup 4, taking care of the previously hot Georgia Bulldogs, 28-9. After falling behind 3-0 in the second quarter, Kellen Moore began to heat up and lead Boise down the field for an impressive seven play touchdown drive which gave the Broncos the lead for good, 7-3. After another Boise touchdown early in quarter three, Georiga responded with a quick strike to pull within 14-9 after a failed two point conversion. On the next series, Moore threw an interception near midfield and Georgia looked to be in prime position for the upset bid. However on their first play after the turnover, Aaron Murray was hit and fumbled in what proved to be the turning point. Boise quickly scored on another Moore touchdown throw and when things were all said and done, Georiga had six turnovers and the boys in blue had a 28-9 win. Up next is the finals in what has surely been the greatest Lindgren Cup competition of them all. #1 seeded LSU will host #4 Boise State. Through 3 rounds and 14 games, Adam has scored 257 points, Dan has tallied 255. Each player has won 7 games. The finals line has opened at LSU -5.5

LSU TO THE FINALS!
In the first semifinal of Lindgren Cup 4, the LSU Tigers steamrolled the West Virginia Mountaineers, 28-7 in Baton Rouge. The 10th seeded Mountainers and top seeded Tigers spent the better half of the first two quarters felling each other out as the teams exchanged a series of punts. Finally LSU broke through late in quarter two on a short Jordan Jefferson touchdown pass. LSU took the 7-0 advantage into the locker room.
In the first two rounds of Lindgren Cup 4 West Virginia proved to be a strong second half team and things looked to be lining up once again as the Mountaineers tied it up early in quarter 3 with a quick 4 play touchdown drive. However this would prove to be the last sniff of success for the West Virginia offense as LSU exploded when senior tight end Deangelo Peterson rumbled for a 79 yard touchdown catch which was quickly followed by another beautiful Jefferson touchdown toss, widening the gap to 21-7. LSU would add one more late in the 4th quarter as the clock struck midnight for Geno Smith and the upstart Mountaineers. Peterson took home game MVP honors with 2 catches for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns. LSU has now outscored its' opponents in the last 10 quarters 84-14 and will face the winner of tomorrows Georgia/Boise St. tilt.

LINDGREN CUP ROUND 2
The temperature has reached the boiling point in the just concluded round 2 of Lindgren Cup 4. We're down to our Fantastic Four and all bets are now off after a pair of stunning upsets.
#1 LSU (Adam) vs #8 Michigan (Dan)-The red zone issues for Brady Hoke continued as the Wolverines fell behind early, tried to fight back but blew numerous chances inside the 10 yard line, ultimately failing to dent the scoreboard and falling 21-0. Jordan Jeffeson was solid once again as the Tigers have now outscored their opponents in the past 6 quarters 56-7.
#4 Boise (Dan) vs #5 USC (Adam)-The smurf turf once again proved difficult for the visitors as Matt Barkely struggled early before being knocked out of the game for good in the second quarter. USC did jump out to an early 3-0 lead and was deep in Boise territory before Barkely was intercepted and trampled on the return for a touchdown. Boise breezed from there, adding a safety and winning easily, 25-6.
#3 Stanford (Dan) vs #11 Georgia (Adam)-The lingering effects of Stanford's escape vs SDSU in round 1 appeared to have been a thing of the past as the Cardinal went into half up 10-6. The second half however was a different story as the pesky Bulldogs pounded the ball on the ground and used Aaron Murray in a game management roll. Georgia went up 20-10 late in the 4th when Andrew Luck lead Stanford down the field for a touchdown in what would prove to be the last drive of his college career. Georgia recoved the onside kick and advanced, 20-17.
#2 Oklahoma State (Adam) vs #10 West Virginia (Adam)-Early on it looked as though the Cowboys would roll once again, jumping out to a 1st half 14-0 lead behind Justin Blackmon. West Virginia answered late in the 1st half with a nice touchdown drive to close the gap to 14-7. The second half kickoff was returned for a touchdown and all of a sudden the game was tied at 14. Turnovers and stalled drives were the story until late in the 4th quarter when Oklahoma State kicker Quinn Sharp missed a chip shot for 29 yards to keep West Virginia alive. After a Mountaineer 3 and out, Oklahoma State got another shot at the victory when with 3 seconds left when they moved down to the West Virginia 33 yard line. Sharp once again pushed the kick right sending the game into overtime, 14-14. Oklahoma State had the ball first in overtime and after a Weeden interception, West Virginia kicked the winning field goal to move on to the next round, 17-14. It should be noted that after the game, Mike Gundy yanked Sharp's scholarship and sent him to Broken Arrow, OK to go work on once of Boone Pickens' oil rigs for the rest of his meaningless life.
Points scored in round 2-Adam: 61; Dan: 59

NFL SUNDAY
After another stellar weekend we look forward to Sunday and a trio of very attractive underdogs. We'll take the Skins knowing that 20 of the last 24 home dogs of 8 points or more have covered and that the Skins haven't given up 300 yards passing in a game all year. 95% of the public money is on New England so all signs point towards a Skins cover. The Tebow love has gone too far and points will be hard to come by in Denver this week therefore there is too much value to pass on the 3.5 given to Chicago. The 49ers are due for a slip-up as they take on a red hot Cardinals team. Good luck!

LINDGREN CUP 4
Lindgren Cup 4 (Adam vs Dan) kicked off in late November with an all new 16 team bracket format. The Lindgren Cup was spawned in 2009 after a series of online PS3 hockey duals. The hatred carried over into NCAA Football and orgininally the gridiron competition was named after known college degenerate, Coach K. However after Coach K failed to pay his bills, the football battles were also named after Matt Lindgren, who dispises hockey and knows very little about football. The title and traveling trophy previously has been awarded to the winner of a best of 7 series (different teams make up each game). Adam currently has 2 Lindgren Cup, titles included a stunning win in Lindgren Cup 3, coming from behind to overcome a 3-0 defecit. After each player drafted 8 teams, Lindgren Cup 4 was set to kickoff.
#1 LSU(A) vs #16 BYU (D)-Cinderalla appeared to have shown up for the dance as the Cougars went into half up 21-7. However 40+ yard TDs on 3 straight plays proved too much as LSU escaped with a 42-28 win.
#8 Michigan(D) vs #9 Arizona State (A)-Michigan jumped out early and again took a 21-7 lead to the locker room however the Sun Devils mounted a late rally, recovering an onside kick but still falling in the end, 28-21.
#5 USC (A) vs #12 Texas (D)-In what can only be described an ugly offensive display (both teams had defensive touchdowns), Matt Barkley prevailed over the 3 headed monster behind center for Texas, 17-7.
#4 Boise State (D) vs #13 Houston (A)-The sirens were sounding early as Case Keenam led the Houston offense downfield for a quick touchdown to go up 7-0 however Kellen Moore had the answer all day leading Boise State to a 21-16 win.
#2 Stanford (D) vs #15 San Diego State (A)-In what was clearly the most entertaining and pressure packed game of the first round, Andrew Luck evoked memories of John Elway leading the Cardinal on a last minute, game winning drive to survive a serious scare, 21-16. The Aztecs did file a formal protest after several questionable calls went against them courtesy of a putrid Pac-10 officating crew.
#7 Clemson (A) vs #10 West Virginia (D)-The Mountaineers dominated from the get go as Clemson shot itself in the foot with 3 turnovers and 5 holding penalties. West Virginia looks like a serious dark horse after their 38-21 victory.
#6 Penn State (D) vs #11 Georiga (A)-The biggest upset in round 1 occurred in Happy Valley in a heated matchup where tempers flared and the GFY’s started to fly. Penn State scored early however missed the extra point which would prove costly. After missing two field goals and numerous other opportunities to put the game away, the Georgia offense finally woke up putting together a stunning 88 yard drive for the victory, 7-6.
#3 Oklahoma State (A) vs #14 Kansas State (D)-The Wildcats did their best to double team Justin Blackmon however in the end they were exposed as the talent gap was just too wide for them to overcome as the Cowboys held on 21-14 after jumping out to an early 21-0 lead thanks to a last minute goal line stand.
Total points scored in round 1: Dan- 161 Adam-159
Round 2 Matchups and Lines:

THURSDAY WINNERS
Another excellent Thursday Night runs our win streak to 6 and our NFL mark to a stunning 16-4. North Carolina came from behind late to make it a game and was clearly the right side tonight. Some questionable officiating allowed the Hoakies to escape with the W but the Tar Heels did end up covering. The legend of Tim Tebow continues to grow in Denver as he once again led an overmatched Denver squad to a last second victory. We're in prime position for a huge weekend, stay tuned for a possible Friday play tomorrow.

MR. THURSDAY NIGHT
Not a real exciting matchup on paper tonight as Florida State visits Boston College however as we all know by now, sports gaming makes everything just a little bit better. I have gone back and forth on this one as the line has fallen two points in the past few days. In the end, we decided to go with Florida State after being burned by Boston College a couple of times this fall already. Laying two TDs on the road on a Thursday Night can be a bit scary so I'd rank this as a low end play. Good luck.

THURSDAY PILLOW FIGHT
We've got a lightweight bout this evening in the shithole known as Tucson, Arizona as UCLA makes the short trip to the desert to face the Arizona Wildcats. MONDAY NIGHT MADNESS
We've got a rare NFL lock for you this evening after an average college gaming weekend. The New York Jets tonight host what looks to be a bottom 3 team in the NFL in the Miami Dolphins. The boys from South Beach will struggle to score more than 10 points on a good Jets defense and Rex Ryan will get Shonn Greene cranking on the ground. Look for the Jets to cover this number in a low scoring, AFC East clash. Our record for the year now stands at an impressive, 37-22-2.

SATURDAY'S CARD
A tough loss last second loss last night but we were on the right side with Cal. We've got a good matchup tonight as Boise visits Fresno. Boise doesn't appear to be nearly as explosive on offense this fall after losing their top 2 WRs to the NFL. Their inability to strech the field will lead to lower point totals and less covers in 2011. Tomorrow is shaping up to be a day of unexpected upsets in college football so once again taking the points will be the play in the majority of our games. The value of Iowa getting 4 against a terrible offense is just too good to pass up. Look for Michigan to hang 50 on Northwestern and finally pull away late, 51-34. Nebraska will return the favor this week and take a crumbling Ohio State team behind the woodshed in their Big Ten home opener. Finally, one of our favorite teams this year, Washington State travels to LA to battle UCLA. The Cougars will continue their resurgence and win this ballgame outright. Good luck to all.

THIRSTY THURSDAY
Plenty of sports to follow tonight as the Yankees finish off the Tigers, the NHL season opens up and of course Thursday Night College Football. Tonight the Cal Bears travel to Eugene, Oregon to take on the Ducks. After an opening loss to powerful LSU, Oregon has reeled off 3 straight wins while averaging 60 points a game. Cal is coming off their first loss of the year, a 31-23 setback to Washington. We're betting on Cal enduring the opening storm Oregon will throw their way and hanging around long enough to cover the 24 point number.
CALIFORNIA BEARS +24 @ OREGON
